Modality Partnership WalsallWest One PCN has a full time 1 year fixed-term vacancy for a GP Assistant. We are a dynamicPrimary Care Network of six passionate General Practices within the West ofWalsall. The postholder will be based at Kingfisher Berkley Practice and work across the PCN Practices. We have a dedicated, enthusiastic team of health care professionalcomprising of different skills, and specialities including Physiotherapists,Paramedics, a Pharmacist Technician, Social Prescribers and a Health Well-BeingCoach.
The postholderwill be a GP Assistants provide a support role, carrying out administrativetasks, combined in some areas with basic clinical duties. They help to supportGPs and contribute to the smooth running of appointments, improving patientsexperience in the surgery.

Main duties of the job
The role is anall-rounded, hands-on clinical role; the postholder main focus of the role ison supporting General Practitioners in their day-to-day management of patients,specifically aimed at reducing the administrative burden, making best use ofconsultation time and supporting access to appointments. The postholder willwork in collaboration with the PCN to deliver innovative ways of working tomeet the strategic aims of the PCN.
The role is nota regular 9am-5pm job and is not a back-office advisory and support role; thejob requires innovation, flexibility and commitment and the postholder will berequired to work resourcefully as part of the team to ensure tasks are completed.This is a role that will equip you with a portfolio of clinical skills anddevelopment and operational skills to make sustainable changes within primarycare.
