Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at MAM London, Novotel London Blackfriars. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and contributing to the overall success of our dining experience.
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff
* Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes
* Supervise and participate in food preparation, cooking and plating
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve their skills and efficiency
* Assist in cost control measures, including minimising food waste and optimising ingredient usage
* Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
* Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire Kitchen team to meet Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines
Qualifications
* At least 3 years of experience in a senior role within the kitchen department, preferably in a hotel or midscale restaurant setting
* Proven experience in kitchen management and staff supervision
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
* Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

Salary:
£38,000 per annum + monthly service charge
Eligibility: The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
