Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within a successful primary school in South Shields.
This role will involve working closely with pupils in Upper Key Stage 2, supporting classroom learning and delivering targeted intervention programmes.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in Years 5 and 6
* Delivering literacy and numeracy interventions
* Supporting SATs preparation where appropriate
* Working alongside teaching staff to raise attainment
* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
* Promoting positive learning behaviours
Working Pattern:
* Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
* Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
* Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
* Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
* Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Have recent experience working within a primary school
* Be confident supporting intervention groups
* Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply and pay for one
* Be available on a full-time basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
