The Role As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building the UK market from the ground up. This is a hunter-focused position centred on new business generation, where you will identify opportunities, open doors with new customers, and develop long-term commercial relationships across the pharma and biotech sectors. Operating as an individual contributor, you will manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting through to close - while collaborating with technical and international teams to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Key Responsibilities Drive new business development across the UK within pharma and biotech organisations Identify, target, and win new accounts through proactive outreach and relationship building Manage the full sales cycle, including pipeline development, forecasting, and contract negotiation Develop and execute a territory strategy aligned with company growth objectives Maintain consistent CRM activity and reporting Partner closely with internal technical teams to support customer requirements Represent the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities Candidate Profile Proven track record in new business sales, ideally within validation, qualification, or technical equipment Experience selling into regulated environments such as pharma or biotech Demonstrated hunter mentality with evidence of winning and developing new accounts Strong commercial acumen with a structured approach to territory planning and pipeline management Technical aptitude; a science or engineering background is advantageous Self-motivated and comfortable operating autonomously in a remote environment Minimum of approximately 5 years’ relevant B2B sales experience Why Join?
