We are now looking for a dedicated Instructor Demonstrator in Bricklaying to join the Construction team at our Deeside campus. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners in developing essential practical skills while working in modern, industry‑standard workshops.
About the Role
As an Instructor Demonstrator in Bricklaying, you will:
• Deliver hands‑on demonstrations and practical training sessions to groups of learners
• Support students in developing core bricklaying skills and safe working practices
• Work closely with lecturers and course coordinators to plan structured workshop activities
• Monitor learner progress, assess practical competence, and maintain accurate records
• Contribute to learner reviews, course outcomes, and departmental planning
• Promote a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance, and punctuality
• Participate in staff development and ongoing CPD opportunities
• Uphold college policies relating to Health & Safety, Equality, and Quality
What We’re Looking For
• A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction or bricklaying discipline
• Strong practical experience within the bricklaying trade
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of industry practices and willingness to continue professional learning
• Ability to plan and support effective workshop sessions
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems
• Ability to manage behaviour and maintain a safe, organised workshop environment
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to support learners with varying abilities
• Welsh language skills are essential for this post, with support available for colleagues wishing to develop their Welsh
