Overview
We are looking to appoint a Lead ACP to take forward the Cardiology ACP programme across Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull, and community sites.
As the Lead ACP, you will play a key role in leading and managing the general cardiology, pacing and heart failure ACP team across the organisation. You will support the current team of qualified and trainee ACPs to deliver an innovative service to serve patients across the front door of the hospital, within our cardiology wards, CCU, our Direct Access Trolley area and our new ICB funded community Heart Failure Unit.
You will work closely with the MDT, including consultant cardiologists, our operational management team and the Cardiology Matron in developing and streamlining care pathways. You will be integral to the vision for non-medical care for patients within cardiology. This post includes rotation to Good Hope Hospital to support development of a similar front-door service and includes 7-day working and twilight shifts. This post is open to applicants from nursing, paramedicine, pharmacy, or physiotherapy.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Essential: Professional Healthcare Registration with a UK Regulatory Body (NMC / HCPC / GphC)
* Essential: Post Graduate Qualification in specific speciality or equivalent experience
* Essential: MSc or Level 7 equivalent portfolio of 180 CATs (must cover all 4 Pillars of advanced clinical practice) with evidence of health assessment module at Level 7
* Essential: Non-Medical Prescribing Course where applicable to registration
* Essential: Advanced Life Support Qualification
Desirable: PhD; Honorary contract / link with HEI
Experience
* Essential: Substantial autonomous practice working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in a multi professional practice setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the required speciality
* Essential: Evidence of ongoing CPD relevant to the role / professional regulation
* Essential: Meets regulatory standards for student supervision and assessment
* Essential: Experience in developing and implementing governance / safety frameworks to support service and quality delivery, improvement and sustainability including learning from incidents or quality assurance audits / patient and carer feedback and National policy
* Essential: Evidence of teaching in a variety of environments
* Essential: Experience as a resource manager with experience in staff performance management and financial control mechanisms
* Essential: Knowledge of NHS care provision priorities and issues
* Essential: Ability to embed clinical governance in practice
* Essential: Understanding of evidence-based practice and its application
* Essential: Knowledge of NHS agenda and its implications
* Essential: Working knowledge of Health & Safety, Clinical Governance, Quality Improvement and evidence-based practice
