Overview

The Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In Education these include the PGCert, MA Education, MBA, PGCE, as well as doctoral level studies. Our undergraduate provision includes Working with Children, Families and Communities, Early Childhood Studies, Montessori and Primary Education Studies. Following our successful accreditation from the Department of Education, we are delivering courses that award Qualified Teacher Status from September 2024, starting with a brand-new three-year BEd (Hons) Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. This post involves managing course administration for our three-year Initial Teacher Training course. You will support trainees and Initial Teacher Training colleagues, throughout the trainee lifecycle, from Welcome Week to graduation.

With a strong focus on inclusivity, you will work closely with Disability and Neurodiversity Services to track adjustments, engagement, and progression. You will also liaise with the wider university staff and partner schools to deliver Welcome Week, support selection events, and conferences.

We are seeking a Senior Initial Teacher Training Course Administrator. You will hold a relevant degree or be part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to prioritise and work flexibly. You will have excellent attention to detail and be confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders with a positive attitude to problem solving.


Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position cover activities in Cambridge, Chelmsford, and Peterborough. You will be joining a team of motivated, dynamic, inclusive colleagues, committed to making ITT a success at ARU. This is a full-time, permanent role based on our Chelmsford Campus.
