Overview
We are now seeking a motivated and experienced Reception Manager to lead our Front of House team. This is an excellent opportunity for a current Head Receptionist or Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career. Responsibilities of Role
You are a key leader in ensuring exceptional first impressions, seamless daily operations, and a culture of service excellence. Working at the heart of the hotel, you will coordinate across all departments to deliver a smooth and memorable guest journey, while upholding the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork.
* ·To actively and imaginatively strive to maximise room occupancy in line with budget targets, achieving the optimum room rate.
* To work cohesively and effectively with all departments, ensuring smooth operations and maximum utilisation of the Hotel's (and the Group's) facilities.
* To ensure that Reception, Lounge, and other guest-facing areas under your responsibility are always tidy, welcoming, and representative of the Hotel's standards.
* To ensure that the reception team are presentable, correctly attired, and delivering service with professionalism and warmth.
* To foster guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring every guest is treated with understanding, kindness, and courtesy.
* To monitor and respond to guest comments and feedback, both directly via ReviewPro and across online platforms such as, Expedia, and Google, helping to protect and enhance the Hotel's reputation.
* To log and follow up on maintenance and repair issues reported to the front desk, ensuring all are accurately recorded in Reslynx and communicated promptly to the relevant department for resolution.
* To maintain close liaison with all Hotel departments, ensuring information is shared accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
* To adhere to control systems to ensure that all revenue is properly recorded and all services correctly charged.
* To ensure the department is staffed in line with business needs/payroll policy and updated accordingly.
* To compile and regularly update SOPs for the department. Induct, train, develop, and appraise staff to achieve consistently high service standards.
* To record training and development activity on individual training records and period reports, ensuring Flow training remains up to date.
* To attend training sessions and communication meetings as required, with advance notice normally provided.
* To undertake any other duties or work outside the normal routine, but within the overall scope of the position.
* To remain flexible to changes in responsibilities, as job requirements evolve to meet business needs.
