An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor (3–5 years’ PQE) to join a highly regarded, regional law firm with a strong reputation for excellence. This is a confidential role with a firm recognised in both The Legal and Chambers UK, offering high-quality work and a supportive environment designed to help you thrive professionally and personally.
The Opportunity:
You will join a dynamic and award-winning Employment team operating across several locations in the West Midlands. Based in the firm’s Birmingham office, you’ll work closely with a highly respected divisional head and experienced colleagues across other offices. You’ll also benefit from hybrid working and a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Advising both employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters
2. Handling TUPE, redundancy, and restrictive covenant cases
3. Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
4. Representing clients in Employment Tribunal claims
5. Preparing contracts, staff handbooks, and other legal documentation
6. Conducting legal research and contributing to case strategy
7. Supporting business development activities, including networking and article writing
8. Mentoring junior team members
What We’re Looking For:
9. 3–5 years’ PQE in Employment Law
10. Strong tribunal experience and ability to handle complex matters
11. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
12. Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client and business development
13. Collaborative and team-focused mindset
