A well-established, family-run nursery in Guiseley is seeking a passionate and experienced Level 3 Room Leader to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. You’ll lead the younger room (ages 9–24 months), supporting a small team and ensuring a nurturing, play-based environment for children and families.
After a successful 12-week period as a temp (fully vetted and supported by our agency), you’ll have the opportunity to transfer to the nursery’s payroll and become a permanent member of their team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
* Supervise and support a small team of practitioners in the younger room
* Build strong relationships with children and families, creating a warm, welcoming environment
* Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
* Monitor children’s progress, keeping observations and records up to date
* Support the Nursery Manager in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene
* Assist with settling-in sessions for new children and support parents
Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a nursery setting
* Experience with children aged 9–24 months highly desirable
* Good knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
* Confident leading a small team and delegating tasks
* Excellent communication and organisational skills

Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NNEB, CACHE Diploma, BTEC, NVQ 3, or equivalent). Experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable. Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to keep accurate records and write reports. Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting positive behaviour. Physically able to lift and handle children and equipment. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check. #J-18808-Ljbffr
