To maintain / overhaul and refurbish rolling stock in accordance with the relevant regime and specification.
This includes but is not limited to – fault finding, rectification work, damage repairs, modification and work arising.
To ensure that stock levels are kept and stock is stored correctly.
To order / reorder stock as required.
To carry out damage reports / overload inspections on behalf of the customer and provide all documentation including photographs when required.
To submit quotes and final costs for 3rd party work
Complete all relevant documentation relating to all work carried out on any rolling stock vehicle.
To correctly file / store all rolling stock documentation
Be flexible in their weekly work which includes weekend working which includes all other overtime.
May be required to work at other outstation depots
To communicate stoppages and up date on the progress of rolling stock to the Field Maintenance Coordinator via telephone
You will be required to work 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday on a 4 week rotation of days and nights.
There is also opportunity for overtime.
You must have a pro-active approach to working with good organisation skills.
Demonstrated experience within the maintenance sector.
Qualifications within an engineering discipline would be advantageous.
Rail industry experience would also be an advantage.
In return, we are offering a salary of £28,115 per annum inclusive of any allowances.
