The Opportunity
As a Key Account Manager, youll take ownership of a portfolio of key customers and sales channels. Your mission? To strengthen relationships, expand Holcims presence, win new business, and deliver on revenue and margin targets. Youll be the face of Holcim for your accountstrusted, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead.
This is a role where your commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills will shine. Youll work closely with senior leaders, sales managers, marketing teams, and operational colleagues to ensure customer needs are met while driving our business forward.
What Youll Be Doing
Strategic Planning & Account Management
* Build, manage, and grow business plans for your designated accounts and key contacts.
* Produce accurate forecasts, pipelines, and customer trading insights.
* Develop targeted account strategies using market knowledge, customer profiling, and data-led planning.
* Understand and promote Holcims strategic direction, innovations, and product portfolio.
Sales Activity & Growth
* Win new volume, revenue, and margin in line with performance targets.
* Lead sales presentations and engage with decision-makers at all levels.
* Champion cross-selling, ensuring customers understand Holcims full range of solutions.
* Identify new opportunities by reviewing dormant accounts and converting prospects into active customers.
* Generate, qualify, and follow up on leads while helping deliver marketing and sales campaigns.
Relationship Building
* Raise Holcims profile within your sales channels and market sectors.
* Build influential, long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Work with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional service.
Administration & Reporting
* Keep Salesforce and internal systems up to date with customer interactions, opportunities, and project tracking.
* Collaborate with Credit Services to manage customer credit limits, outstanding debt, and cash collection.
* Ensure customer complaints are effectively managed with operations and area sales teams.
What Youll Bring
* Strong sales, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation capabilities.
* Highly organised with strong planning, analytical, and time-management skills.
* Confident, self-motivated, and proactive, able to work independently and make sound decisions.
* Commercial awareness with strategic, financial, and budgetary understanding.
* IT literacy (Salesforce and CRM systems experience is advantageous).
* Understanding of industry, product ranges and supply chain (advantageous but not essential).
