Job Description
Blackwood Homes and Care is looking for a Housing Officer to join our Housing Services Team supporting operations across our East Region. The role, reporting to a Team Leader, focuses on supporting customers to live independently through high‑level engagement, support, and a quality housing and customer service experience.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* An experienced Housing professional committed to delivering a customer‑centred service and building strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
* Knowledgeable in a cross‑section of housing‑related services including allocations, empty‑property management, tenancy and estate management, contract management, inspections, and handling anti‑social behaviour and complaints.
* Possess a CIH Level 3 qualification or above, or be currently working toward this qualification.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, act as a competent decision‑maker and find practical, customer‑centred solutions to operational challenges.
* Experience working with a tenant scrutiny panel and supporting the delivery of a customer engagement plan, including tackling isolation, promoting neighbourhood inclusion, and embracing digital solutions such as CleverCogs™ and the Blackwood House design rollout.
