Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 per annum (pro rata)

We are a dedicated care company supporting adults and older adolescents with mental health needs. We are proud to announce we will extend our services to children and young people (CYP) aged 11–18. Our mission is to provide a positive, therapeutic mentoring service that improves outcomes and re-engages CYP with education in a way that feels safe, empowering, and judgment-free.
The Role
We are seeking a Lead Practitioner to spearhead our new mentoring provision. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver a service that prioritises relationship-building, engagement, and therapeutic support. You will lead a small team, assess and engage CYP, and ensure our statutory responsibilities are met while delivering our bespoke approach.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the setup and delivery of our mentoring service for CYP aged 11–18.
* Assess needs and develop tailored engagement plans.
* Build trusting relationships with CYP, focusing on emotional safety and empowerment.
* Model and embed our therapeutic approach across the team.
* Liaise with schools, families, and professionals to ensure joined-up support.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.
* Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed rigorously.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has extensive experience in alternative education provisions or youth mentoring.
* Understands the complexities of safeguarding CYP.
* Possesses a therapeutic, relational approach to engagement.
* Can lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
* Is passionate about creating spaces where CYP can thrive outside traditional school environments.
* Exhibits a relaxed, non-judgmental approach to working with young people, while being able to offer clear guidance and structure.
