We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our growing team at Cheadle Hulme Primary School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs. You'll work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, empowering pupils to reach their full potential.

Here at the Laurus Trust, we provide a cutting-edge SEND provision that positively impacts our young people. We are currently looking to recruit caring and dedicated individuals to join our SEND team. You will play a vital role in enhancing pupils' progress while promoting their independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.

We offer comprehensive professional learning and ensure all schools have designated workspaces for staff. Our training in SEND covers whole-school issues as well as specific training for SEND teams.

If you would like to join our Laurus family in a rewarding role that changes pupils' lives by empowering them to be their best, we would love to hear from you. This position is contracted for 30 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 days (8:50 am - 3:20 pm, Monday to Friday). You will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during school holidays unless required. The total work weeks are a minimum of 38 out of 52 weeks.

Job Purpose: (For further details, please see the Job Description below) Provide in-class support for pupils to enable progress as directed by teachers, delivering small group and one-to-one intervention programmes. Work collaboratively with all team members to support pupils' welfare and personal development.

Key Skills and Experiences: Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent. Good knowledge and understanding of play and how to create opportunities for various ages and interests. Experience working in a school environment is advantageous.
