We are seeking a friendly individual with a positive approach to join the Breast Unit team. Suitable applicants are invited to apply for the position of Clerical Assistant, supporting administrative functions in the department. The Breast Screening Service manages approximately 50,000 client visits annually for well-woman breast screening and provides a Breast Symptomatic Service. The post holder will often be the first point of contact, representing the service/department.
This is a flexible role within core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Main duties include:
1. Providing efficient administrative support, including handling queries and calls professionally.
2. Assisting with data entry using IT systems, requiring good attention to detail.
3. Collecting notes from Health Records.
4. Providing reception cover, logging attendees, and booking appointments.
5. Dealing with queries from service users, GPs, patients, and external departments.
6. Performing general office duties as needed.
