Role & Responsibilities of the Project Quantity Surveyor:
Pre-Construction
* Undertaking feasibility studies
* Performing risk and value management assessments
* Compiling tender enquiries
* Procurement
* Cost planning
* Tender analysis
* Negotiating tenders and contracts
Construction
* Contract drafting
* Contract Administration
* Change management, assessment and instruction.
* Application and payments
* Final account negotiation
* Report writing
Other Activities
* Fund monitoring
* Reinstatement valuations
* Chairing meetings
Skills & Experience of the Project Quantity Surveyor:
* This role is open to assistant quantity surveyors looking for the next step up, intermediate surveyors and/or project surveyors
* Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
* Personable nature
* A desire to learn and the ability to learn quickly
* A reasonable understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
* The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Preferably degree (or equivalent) educated (not necessarily in quantity surveying)
* although this is not absolutely essential
* A full clean driving licence and own vehicle
