Overview
Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Senior Childcare Lawyer to join a well-regarded Local Authority legal team based in Greater Manchester.
This role is on a Hybrid basis and is for a 3 month contract with potential to extend.
The role is offering a competitive hourly rate off:
* Umbrella rate- £50-£55 per hour
* PAYE (Inc Hol)- £44.50 -£48.89 per hour
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare lawyer to take on a senior-level caseload while supporting the wider team on complex public law children matters.
Responsibilities as a Senior Childcare Lawyer
* Prepare and review legal documentation including applications, statements, and court bundles.
* Attend case conferences, legal planning meetings, and strategy meetings.
* Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and associated statutory guidance.
About you as a Senior Childcare Lawyer
* Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx with significant experience in childcare law.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
