Commercial Estimator / Product Design Specialist
Near Maidstone, Kent (Own transport essential)
£30-35k (negotiable based on experience) | Full-time (37.5 hrs, flexibility considered)

We’re working with a forward-thinking manufacturing business who are seeking a detail-driven Estimator with a flair for product design.
This role is ideal for someone with excellent Excel ability, a head for numbers, and the commercial awareness to balance cost, design, and practicality.
The Role:
1. Use advanced Excel-based tools to calculate accurate costings and pricing options
2. Analyse enquiries to determine the most cost-effective manufacturing processes
3. Produce design concepts using CAD software (training provided if needed) to establish materials, dimensions and production requirements
4. Apply strong numeracy and logical thinking to ensure materials, timings, and transport requirements are accurate
5. Work independently, managing priorities and ensuring decisions are based on sound data and commercial reasoning
The Ideal Candidate:
6. Exceptional Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis essential)
7. Numerically strong with excellent problem-solving ability
8. Commercially aware with the ability to balance cost, design and production demands
9. Product Design qualification or relevant sector experience highly desirable
10. Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
11. Must hold a valid driving licence due to rural location
