Quantity Surveyor - Cayman Islands
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and fast-paced developer. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
* Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking across multiple projects
* Manage procurement processes, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract award
* Administer contracts in accordance with agreed terms and conditions
* Evaluate and process contractor valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Monitor project costs and identify risks, providing mitigation strategies where necessary
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards
* Provide regular financial and progress reports to senior stakeholders
* Support dispute resolution and claims management where required
Key Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
* Professional membership (e.g., RICS or equivalent) preferred
* Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a QS role, ideally within infrastructure or civil engineering projects
* Strong knowledge of contract forms (e.g., FIDIC or similar)
* Proven experience in cost control, procurement, and contract administration
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost management systems)
