Role: Learning Support Assistant
Contract: GAP Year (fixed for a year) OR Permanent role, 39 working weeks (term time plus inset days)
Hours: 26 hours 40 minutes per week
Salary: Scale 3 points 5 to 6. Depending on years’ service, Actual Salary - £15,319 - £15,562.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring and energetic person to join our Learning Support Faculty. The team is dedicated, positive and friendly. You should be approachable, patient and understanding to support students with special educational needs and/or disabilities to access the curriculum. Many of our Learning Support Assistants have progressed into teaching through our Teacher Training schemes.
Duties Involved
* Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupils on task
* Interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills
* Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate

* Excellent communication skills
* A positive 'can-do' attitude, inclusive values and a great sense of humour!
* A team player
* Good organisational skills
* English and Mathematics (at least GCSE grade 4 or equivalent). A good general standard of education – GCSEs or equivalent and A Levels or equivalent.
