KS1 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2026
Now Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Wavertree (L15) who are looking to appoint a dedicated Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact supporting pupils at a key stage in their development.
The Role
- Provide classroom support within a KS1 setting
- Deliver 1:1 and small group SEN support, including pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD and speech & language
- Assist with phonics, early reading, and numeracy interventions
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies
- Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working within a UK primary school
- Experience supporting SEN pupils is highly desirable
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young learners
