The Role
You will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Curriculum Transformation team in the implementation of the Leading Edge Curriculum (LEC) Framework developed as part of the University’s Education for Life Strategy 2030+. Over the course of three years every taught programme in the University will be redesigned and reapproved in line with the Leading Edge Curriculum Framework. The postholder will support the team to ensure the successful planning and delivery of the planned schedule of redesign and reapproval. Excellent stakeholder communication and engagement skills, along with experience of project support and the administrative coordination of curriculum development activities, are essential for this post.
You will join the Registry and Education Services unit of Student Services, part of the University’s Academic Hub led by Colin Campbell, Registrar. You will report to the Curriculum Transformation Manager as line manager.

Key Accountabilities
1. Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of Curriculum Transformation activities including but not limited to: coordinating enquiries from colleagues across the University. organising meetings for the team with key stakeholders in academic schools (e.g. Heads of School, Directors of Education, Degree Programme Directors) as well as Faculties and central services. This will include preparing and circulating meeting documentation, recording and disseminating minutes/actions and following up to ensure timely action completion.
2. Act as the main point of contact between the LEC Curriculum Transformation team and stakeholders, supporting team members with key processes and procedures.
3. Work closely with the Curriculum Transformation Manager to develop and implement tracking processes that monitor Academic Unit progress through curriculum redesign and reapproval timelines.
4. Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of the programme redesign sprints.
5. Support the LEC Academic Fellow Lead in: planning and coordination of LEC Academic Fellow development activities including onboarding planning, co-ordination and delivery of the evaluation of the LEC academic fellow approach to inform future programme development team models ensuring issues arising are captured and communicated to the correct team for action
6. Provide effective administrative support to the Programme and Change Manager including but not limited to: organising meetings for the Project Board and the Leading Edge Curriculum Workstream Leads including preparation/circulation of documentation, recording and disseminating minutes/actions and following up to ensure timely action completion. updating content on the internal Sharepoint project web pages.
7. Organise travel, accommodation, and conference/workshop attendance.
8. Administer finance processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal accounting procedures. This might include requesting payments, reconciling credit card payments, processing internal recharges, resolving queries, and maintaining audit records.
9. Work as an ‘expert user’ of relevant IT systems (Sharepoint, Teams, SAP, MOFs), generating management information proactively and on request.

The Person (Essential)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
10. Significant work experience in a relevant role, and in a comparable setting.
11. Good working knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
12. Proven ability to establish, review and monitor administrative systems.
13. Ability to handle large volumes of work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.
14. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of staff at all levels.
15. Strong planning and organising skills.
16. Ability to work on own initiative, solving routine problems with limited supervision.
17. Experience of working effectively both independently and within a team, and the ability to initiate, develop and maintain productive relationships.
18. Flexible and responsive approach to dealing with demands of work and customers.
19. Experience of planning and progressing work within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement.
20. Advanced IT skills, including the core Microsoft Office packages, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel, and online communication tools, for example Teams and web content management

Qualifications
26. Grades A-C in English Language and Mathematics GCSE (or equivalent) or vocational qualifications, plus work experience in a relevant role; or Substantial relevant work experience in the unit or a comparable setting.
27. Hold a recognised qualification (NVQ level 2, GCSE Grades A-C/O-levels, City and Guilds, RSA II).
