Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship - Genie Lab Science Ltd
Genie Lab Science Ltd is a vibrant children’s science company based in Guildford, Surrey. We specialize in delivering after-school science clubs, STEM presentations, workshops, and science parties for primary school-aged children. Key Details
* Working hours:
o Monday to Friday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (4 hours per day)
o Term-time only (38-40 weeks a year)
* Location: Foxwell, Hunts Hill Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU3 2AH, with travel to various schools around Surrey.
* Wage: £11.25 per hour
Apprenticeship Details
* Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
* Duration of course: 16 months
* Training provider: LMP Education (Rated BEST UK training provider)
* Delivery: Online/remote learning alongside role
As a Teaching Assistant with Genie Lab Science Ltd, you will play a vital role in nurturing children’s interest in science. You’ll lead engaging school science clubs, deliver interactive STEM presentations, and assist in workshops and events. This role provides the perfect opportunity to combine a passion for science and education, leaving a positive and lasting impact on young learners.
Full Duties And Responsibilities
* Lead after-school science clubs from Monday to Friday during term time.
* Host occasional weekend science parties for children.
* Assist in delivering workshops, assemblies, and STEM events at schools.
* Support with administrative tasks and organizing science kits.
* Travel to schools across Surrey, transporting equipment and kits as needed.
* Engage and interact with children to foster a love for science.
* Participate in training sessions and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
Skills & Personal Qualities
* Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.
* An outgoing and friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and organized.
* Some knowledge of primary-level science.
* Previous experience working with children is desirable.
* A UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle (essential).
