We are seeking a versatile and reliable Dispatch Operative with Forklift experience to join our logistics team. This dual role combines the coordination of dispatch operations with hands-on warehouse support, ensuring goods are scheduled, moved, and delivered safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and schedule deliveries to meet customer deadlines
* Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate dispatch operations
* Prepare and check dispatch documentation (delivery notes, invoices, manifests)
* Track shipments and update systems with accurate information
* Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
* Stack and organize stock in designated areas
* Conduct daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues
* Assist with general warehouse duties when required
* Follow health, safety, and transport regulations at all times
* Ensure accurate handling of goods to prevent damage
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
2. Valid forklift license (Counterbalance)
3. Strong organizational and communication skills
4. IT literacy (dispatch systems, spreadsheets, email)
5. Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards
