Description
To ensure the effective and efficient management of all on-site bars for MICE and Track events in accordance with the client’s brief, company policies and procedures, and within agreed budget and profit margins. Assist the Senior Event Managers and Events Team Leader in procedures and site-wide policies, ensuring they are kept up to date with current practices and standards.
Silverstone is seeking a highly motivated Bar Manager/Bartender skilled in detailed service, member recognition, POS systems, tending bar, and training staff and volunteers. The Bar Manager must be visible at appropriate times, ensuring a supervisory presence to maintain member and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop and achieve goals, promote teamwork, and possess a good knowledge of various bar projects. You will help grow events by introducing new ideas and ensuring they are targeted appropriately to the right audience.

Key Responsibilities
* Validate sales contracts received from other departments against set procedures.
* Perform regular stock-takes and order supplies as needed.
* Handle deliveries and maintain stock condition.
* Enforce health and safety rules.
* Address customer issues promptly.
* Act as the central liaison for clients during events, managing customer accounts, ensuring adherence to briefs and budgets, and building relationships.
* Organize and document all aspects of corporate event projects, from initial handover to post-event evaluation and final reconciliation.
* Manage the de-rig of the bar and ensure the site is returned to its original state, complying with standards.
* Support Senior Event Managers in planning and delivering large-scale events.
* Identify and create new commercial opportunities to expand the business, enhance customer experience, and reduce costs.
* Accurately communicate event information to stakeholders internally and externally.
* Maintain relevant Health and Safety documentation, such as Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Oversee daily bar operations with the Corporate Event Supervisors.
* Develop and improve in-house systems and processes.
* Ensure all event setups meet company standards prior to events.
* Provide operational direction to catering staff, ensuring sufficient coverage.
* Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Food Allergen, Safety Regulations, and Licensing laws.
* Participate in weekly planning meetings and event briefings.
* Support departmental areas as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Conference and Banqueting, Hospitality, or Event environments.
* Experience managing medium to large-scale corporate or venue operations.
* IOSH Managing Safely certification (preferred).
* Personal License (preferred).
* Operational and commercial mindset with a hands-on approach.
* Ownership, problem-solving skills, proactive, and self-motivated.
