Your new role
As Newly Qualified Accountant reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will:
1. Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
2. Own balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial data
3. Draft statutory financial statements in line with accounting standards
4. Manage the audit process as liaison with external auditors
5. Prepare and file VAT, Corporation Tax and other returns, ensuring fullpliance
6. Support budgeting and forecasting cycles alongside budget holders
7. Deliver financial analysis and business insights to inform strategic decisions
8. Develop, improve and document financial processes and internal controls
9. Lead or support projects such as ERP implementations, acquisitions or automation initiatives
10. Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the business
11. Raise HSE concerns and contribute to a safe, environmentally friendly workspace
What you’ll need to succeed
12. Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA or CIMA)
13. Newly qualified training from a top-tier accounting firm or equivalent industry experience
14. Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
15. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
16. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools
17. Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and strong organisational skills
18. Outstandingmunication, interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
19. Agile approach, open to new challenges, and able to work both independently and in a team
20. Prepared to travel when necessary and right to work in the UK
Desirable:
21. Sector experience in manufacturing
22. Exposure to group reporting and UK/Irish tax legislation
23. Project or change management experience
24. Full driving licence with access to a car
