We're looking for a Senior Engineer (Commissioning) to join the utilities arm of Kier, called Natural Resources. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining home, office, and site work across the Thames Valley region, initially focusing on Harpenden.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time. Flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.
Responsibilities
As part of our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP), you will:
* Ensure commissioning documentation is completed and accessible on the Common Data Environment, including FAT, SAT, outage management plans, and ITPs.
* Develop the Design Commissioning Plan tailored to the project, in collaboration with Client representatives.
* Review and approve project ITPs, managing them through Kier’s data environment.
* Collaborate with onsite supply chain teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring safety and adherence to project timelines.
* Lead reliability and performance testing, producing reports to demonstrate compliance with client objectives.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if you have:
* Experience in commissioning Mechanical and Electrical plant within the Water Industry.
* BEng, ONC, HNC, or BTEC qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and M&E plant/equipment.
