Job Opportunity: Responsible Individual – Children’s Residential Services – Lancashire
We are recruiting an experienced Responsible Individual for a Children’s Residential Services provider across Lancashire. This full-time, permanent position offers an immediate start with a competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, plus a company car.
Key Details:
* Location: Lancashire (Tarleton, Garstang, Leyland, Aughton, Skelmersdale areas)
* Role: Overseeing Children’s Residential Homes supporting children with EBD and complex needs
* Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, plus company car
* Contract: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Essential Requirements:
* Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Ofsted Compliance: Ability to complete and pass a ‘Suitable Persons’ Interview with Ofsted
* Professional Experience: Proven senior leadership experience in children’s residential care, ideally supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or complex needs
* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and legislative/regulatory frameworks for children’s homes
* Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading or supporting services through Ofsted inspections, achieving ‘Good’ or better outcomes
* Leadership: Strategic leadership, emotional resilience, and the ability to inspire and guide teams through challenges and change
* Experience: Prior experience as a Responsible Individual or in a senior operational leadership role within residential childcare services
