About the Role
Mott MacDonald is a purpose‑driven consulting firm focused on engineering, management, and development. The Acoustic Engineering Team works to improve quality of life through sound across sectors such as education, healthcare, performing arts, residential, and infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of acoustic services on projects that span multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
* Deliver noise and vibration modelling, investigation, and design services.
* Conduct noise and vibration surveys, including underwater acoustics.
* Support assessments at all stages of infrastructure development.
* Optimise acoustic comfort and control external noise intrusion for facade and architectural design.
* Enhance intelligibility of life‑safety communication systems through electro‑acoustic design.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions.
Candidate Specification
Graduates with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (obtained no earlier than 2024) or expected to achieve one in one of the following disciplines:
* Acoustics
* Engineering and acoustics
* Engineering acoustics
