The Contracts Manager Role:
* Lead the operational delivery of response and maintenance contracts in Bristol
* Instill ownership and responsibility in your teams to ensure successful, on-time, and budget-compliant delivery
* Lead by example with a direct labour team, motivating, incentivizing, and developing individuals, including apprentices
* Manage recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new team members
* Prioritize health and safety, ensuring measures are in place and monitored
* Ensure resources, subcontractors, plant, and materials are available for planned work
* Build internal and external relationships, fostering close collaboration with commercial and operational teams
* Oversee site reporting, produce accurate reports, and implement corrective actions
* Manage your own time effectively to maintain productivity and keep procedures and reports up to date
What We Expect from the Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in health and safety management with system controls and leadership
* Strong planning, organizing, and resource management skills
* Experience managing direct labour, investing in team development to maximize potential
* Customer-centric approach, delivering in line with client expectations
* SMSTS qualification and good knowledge of health and safety requirements
* Trade background (all trades considered to NVQ level 2 or equivalent) preferred but not essential
