Description Your role as a Centre Manager The purpose of the Centre Manager position is to lead, develop, implement, oversee and manage the operations and the future growth and development of the headspace core business across the four core streams - mental Health, Alcohol and other Drugs, Vocational/Educational, Physical and Sexual Health. The Centre Manager will work closely & collaboratively with the headspace leadership team to ensure all activities are in accordance with the headspace funding agreement, Centacare NENW (the lead agency), headspace National Office, consortium partners and the Youth Reference Group. What you’ll bring In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating high-quality clinical services for young people aged 12–25, ensuring care is delivered in line with our service model, grant agreements and organisational strategy. Working closely with the Clinical Lead, you’ll champion evidence-based approaches such as family-inclusive practice, clinical staging and single-session treatment. You’ll provide strong leadership to our clinical team — supporting, supervising and developing staff, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive and accountable culture. Collaboration is central to this role, and you’ll work alongside consortium partners to deliver integrated services that meet the needs of young people and their families. Beyond clinical leadership, you’ll contribute to business planning and strategy, ensuring our services continue to align with our Strategic Plan. You’ll also prepare management reports for the Youth Mental Health Manager, Executive, and external bodies, and assist with grant and tender submissions to support future growth. Skills And Experiences About You You’re an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong clinical background in youth mental health. You bring: Expertise in evidence-based clinical practice and service delivery. Proven experience in leading and developing staff. Strong skills in collaboration, relationship management and stakeholder engagement. A clear understanding of organisational policies, procedures, and national mental health standards. The ability to balance clinical leadership with strategic and operational priorities. Essential Criteria To be successful in this role, you will have: A qualification (or equivalent experience) in Management, Health Services, Psychology, Social Work, Health Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or a related discipline. Demonstrated leadership and operational management experience. Experience managing funding contracts and stakeholder relationships. Capacity to effectively engage in leadership and management processes, including multidisciplinary initiatives and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong experience in staff and team management, including recruitment, orientation, supervision, performance reviews, disciplinary action, professional development and training. Experience in direct service provision to young people and/or providing mental health services or programs.
