Are you a Project Manager who likes to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the technical details?
We’re working with a well established manufacturing business in West Sussex on an exciting opportunity to lead a major new product development project.
This role isn’t just about managing timelines - you’ll take ownership of the project, working closely with engineering, development and operational teams to ensure the product is delivered on time, meets specifications, and stays within budget. You’ll also be hands on with product reliability testing, working alongside a small technical team to make sure the product performs as expected.
What you’ll be doing:
* Developing and managing project plans, timelines and schedules
* Coordinating cross functional teams and external suppliers
* Monitoring progress, managing risks and solving challenges as they arise
* Leading project meetings and updating senior stakeholders
* Supporting product reliability testing and validation activities
* Analysing test data and feeding insights back into the project team
* Producing and reviewing technical reports where needed
What we’re looking for:
* Experience managing engineering or product development projects
* Strong technical or engineering background
* A hands-on, “doer” approach - someone who works alongside the team
* Experience leading cross functional teams in a manufacturing or technical environment
* Organised, proactive, and confident managing stakeholders and project risks
