The Quality & Food Safety Risk Assessment Specialist will be responsible for horizon scanning and emerging risk assessments, food fraud risk assessments, raw material risk assessments as well as establish and managed annual testing programs for raw materials and finished products, participating on HACCP teams and assisting with issues. Key Responsibilities Conducts and maintains risk assessments for raw materials and third-party finished goods, establishing sampling plans, and coordinating all necessary due diligence analytical and quality testing. Monitors United Kingdom Tea & Infusion Association circulars, prepares a monthly summary of up-and-coming challenges and changes, supports senior management with UKTIA meeting preparation and maintains an activity/action log to support action and decision making. Responsible for gathering, analysing annual test data and promptly responding to both routine and ad-hoc information requests from trade associations. Actively participates in the food fraud risk assessments, horizon scanning and emergent risk assessments networks. Contributes to the HACCP team and supports with issue management through risk assessment. Responsible for the end-to-end management of 3rd party manufacturers raw materials and finished products specifications. Provides training to relevant personnel on quality standards, procedures and work instructions. Provides risk assessment advice for concessions. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in food industry, preferably in a quality assurance role. Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and quality management systems. Experience in conducting risk assessments and managing testing programmes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
