As a care worker your responsibilities may include: providing support with personal care needs; preparing meals; helping to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as gardening, shopping trips and social occasions. Your service users are individuals, and all deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
Working in care can be flexible; your hours are usually based on shift patterns, so a work/life balance that suits you is achievable. Experience and qualifications are desirable but for this role your values and attitude towards caring for our clients is the most important thing.
