About the Role
The Supply Register are delighted to be working in partnership with Beckfoot Trust to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils at Hazelbeck School.
Hazelbeck School is a specialist setting supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including severe and profound learning difficulties, autism, and associated communication and sensory needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require tailored support to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs
* Support pupils with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
* Assist with communication strategies (including visual supports and alternative communication systems)
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Support personal care where required
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or adults with SEN (school-based or care setting)
* A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* A willingness to support personal care needs
