Logistics Technician Job ID 246923 Posted 14-Nov-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Data Centers Location(s) Feltham - England - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Job Title Logistics Technician Business Sector DCS Based at Heathrow DC (Support Croydon DC in line with business need) Reporting to: Logistics Supervisor Hours: Mon - Fri 08:00-17:00 or 10:00-19:00, plus essential overtime, plus provide on call support after hours, weekends, and public holidays on a rotation basis. Purpose of Job Receive and process incoming shipments Package and process outgoing shipments - both standard and secure shipments Validate assets incoming and outgoing shipments Manage new equipment inventory using Client tooling Manage to be reused equipment using Client tooling Assist with end user testing of Client inventory tool as needed Managing and reporting on all aspects of Logistics Unboxing equipment for turning over to Data Centre Services installation Validation of assets in inbound and outbound shipping Packaging of outbound shipments Maintain organized and clean stock rooms Ensure proper and timely disposal of trash Be responsible for all assets in the logistics storerooms at all times Manage day-to-day shipping operations and associated work as required by Client Maintain adequate tooling and supplies to be able to complete all Logistics work All activities undertaken to have the correct approvals, follow documented Operational Instructions, and comply to firm policies and procedures Act as the main liaison for EDC Logistics communicating and working with other local ETS groups Support all EDC Logistics issues, queries, and work in the data center locations Maintain oversight for all EDC Logistics issues, queries, and work in the data center locations Take responsibility for ensuring that due diligence is undertaken to guarantee all policies, procedures and operating instructions are followed regarding shipping and inventory activities Liaise with any Client DCS and project teams to ensure successful handover of new or refreshed white space equipment Work with DCS to support audits carried out for To Be Reused inventory Ensure all assets in the store rooms are documented in the appropriate inventory tool Complete regular 10% cycle counts of the storerooms monthly Ensure a complete and accurate inventory is held on site for all Client owned tools and equipment Ensure a complete and accurate inventory of Client assets is maintained in the appropriate system(s) Participate in UAT testing of tools used by EDC Logistics Support organizing and ordering materials, including where appropriate raising orders on Client Finance systems Undertake data quality checks to ensure tickets follow appropriate processes and tools are updated as required Ensure all Client inventory and asset management tools are up to date Core competencies Responsiveness Understanding of customer needs and the requirements of working in a critical environment requiring zero downtime Accessibility Experience, sound knowledge of logistic services Physically fit Aptitudes Good verbal communication skills Organised and with good written English skills Conversant with basic PC use, email, word and excel programs Willing to learn and develop skills and technical knowledge Character Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service Calm manner and able to work under pressure and in emergency situations Be a self starter and promote a "can do" customer attitude at all times Able to carry tools and component's up to 20kg, around site and to work areas Please note: All details are provided for guidance only and do not limit the responsibility and accountabilities of the job or frequencies of the maintenance schedules.
