Ashtead Park. Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Salary: 12.56. Hours: 40 per week.
A day and boarding co-educational school for pupils from year 3 to 6th form in Ashtead Park, Surrey. Catering for 950 students and staff daily. This is a mix of term time, term time plus 4 weeks and 52 week contracts depending on role, operating 7 days a week. Free on-site parking is available.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established and friendly team at our prestigious location in Ashtead Park. You’ll play a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
* Support pot wash duties (experience would be an advantage)
* Assist with basic food preparation as required
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
* Operate the industrial dishwasher and related cleaning tasks
* Assist chefs with food preparation when needed
Qualifications and Skills
* Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential
* Can-do attitude
* Good organisation skills
* Ability to understand verbal English and to read simple written communication
Knowledge / Competencies
* Reasonable to good understanding and use of verbal English
* Reasonable to good standard of written English and reading skills
* Experience in customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred
