The Motorsport Department at Supercars is the cornerstone of the safe, fair and competitive Championship that enables the entire Supercars organisation to continue as the leading touring car category. We take on the responsibility to our organisation, and the broader sport, that the Supercars championship continues to have technical parity between makes, as well as ensuring the overall sustainability of the sport in all aspects.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior Engineer will primarily assist the Category Technical Director and the broader Motorsport department with advanced engineering capabilities across all series operated by Supercars, as well as helping maintain technical integrity through technical support, development and scrutineering. Supercars’ ownership of the GEN3 platform has added a level of responsibility to ensure reliability, safety and parity for all. This role involves work across south-east Queensland, Australia and overseas, in both office & track-based environments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Assist the CTD in leading the Design & CAD side of the Technical department, including maintenance of CAD systems.
* Design, produce and maintain car related parts or technical equipment as required.
* Be involved with Supercars & Homologation Teams during new vehicle homologation, including all relevant and new homologation activities.
* Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
* Respond to team enquiries and travel as required for scrutineering & testing
* Involvement in technical management of support categories.
* Assist with the preparation and running of cars during Supercars test days.
* Other tasks and projects as required which contributed to the success of the company and the sport.
* Expand existing, and develop new, methodologies and analysis techniques to uphold the parity pillars of the Supercars category, in conjunction with the CTD.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You should possess the following professional skills and experience:
* Tertiary qualifications – Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
* Strong CAD & design proficiency, including PDM/PLM experience
* Strong vehicle systems knowledge, including MoTeC Data Logging and Management
* Trackside engineering experience, preferably in Supercars or another top-level international motorsport series
* Proficient in MS Office
* Be willing and able to travel.
