The post holder is a unit manager of the head and neck unit (Maxillofacial) within POW. The post holder is accountable for their own professional actions along with management of the team and day to day running of the unit within POW. The post holder is also responsible in assisting staff development along with implementing and evaluating patient outcomes through specific evidence based practice and auditing
Main duties of the job
Planning and Design, Improvement, Monitoring, Policy/Service Development Communication Promote multidisciplinary working, with outcomes aimed at achieving the best interests of patients through cohesive service delivery. Lead in the investigation of clinical incidents, complaints and support any serious untoward incidents using root cause analysis methodologies. Ensure action plans and findings are fully implemented in a timely manner Take actions continually to both maintain and monitor compliance with the agreed planned rosters in order meet the requirements of the Nurse Staffing Level (Wales).

Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse (Part 1) - Active NMC Registration
2. Relevant clinical experience
3. Relevant leadership experience
4. Relevant experience within specialty and able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant specialty Proven post-registration experience and evidence of coordinating and managing a team of staff.
Desirable criteria
5. Relevant experience within specialty and able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant specialty
