Job Description
New Directions is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant for a primary SEND school in the Trafford area that caters for learners 3-11 with additional needs. This is a full-time, longer-term role to commence ASAP.
The School:
1. Strong senior leadership team who create a supportive environment to work in
2. State of the art special school that caters from primary learners: ASC, PMLD & Complex Needs
3. Small tailored, well resourced classes catered to the specific needs of the learner
The Role:
4. 1 to 1 support and whole class support with a students with complex needs
5. Working closely with other support staff, class teacher and outside agencies to ensure that all needs are met
6. Full time – Monday to Friday – 8:30am -3.30pm
The Candidate:
7. Holding a Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
8. Experience working with SEND learners is essential: ideally with ASC, PMLD or SLD
