Overview
We are seeking a Civils Project Engineer to join the Metrolink Engineering Team. The role supports a range of engineering projects over the coming years, including the Bury Interchange Upgrade, Tram-Train Business Case Development and various track and civils renewals. The role may also involve involvement in other proposed schemes to expand and enhance the Metrolink network.
What you’ll do
* Write specifications, review tenders, oversee designs, and provide on-site assurance.
* Support and lead the management of technical interfaces, particularly with discipline engineers, tram operators and contractors.
* Contribute to design development, management and assurance across multi-disciplinary projects and renewals.
* Engage across all aspects of civil engineering within rail/light-rail environments as required.
What you’ll bring
* An engineering degree or equivalent with civil engineering project experience within a rail and/or light-rail environment.
* Attention to detail to oversee design assurance activities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to manage project stakeholders.
* Proactive approach to problem solving and ability to think outside the box to improve project processes.
* Ideally, experience visiting/working on site.
