Hays are working with an established Public Services company in Milton Keynes who require an experienced "Payroll Professional" to join them on a temporary basis for minimum 6 months.
Your new role
This role will report into the Payroll Manger and will manage 3 payroll officers, and you will be responsible for running the company payroll effectively on a monthly basis, including accurate processing, liaising with the payroll bureau and stakeholders, inputting overtime, SSP, allowances and other payments. Prepare and submit the P11Ds to HMRC and maintain all payroll administration.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for the position will have proven experience in payroll management to a supervisory level, including leading and motivating employees.Significant experience of dealing with final salary and career average pension schemes and auto enrolment.Experience of dealing with 600 + employees, knowledge of payroll regulations,i.e. PAYE, NI and SSP. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use Payroll/ HR systems and a good level of Excel. Payroll or taxation related qualifications i.e. CIPP or AAT or equivalent experience and able to evidence continual professional development.
