Overview
Registered Veterinary Nurse - Equine (Nights) at Donnington Grove Equine, Newbury, West Berkshire. We are seeking a passionate nurse to join our night team. Our diverse equine caseload includes racehorses, foals and competition horses. You’ll support hospitalised patients, emergency admissions and surgery, delivering exceptional care in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. We are open to supporting and training those with a small animal nursing background who are interested in a career shift to equine nursing.
Responsibilities
* Provide overnight nursing care for hospital patients under supervision of veterinary surgeons.
* Assist with emergency admissions and surgical cases.
* Utilise Schedule 3 tasks where appropriate after training and within scope of practice.
* Support equine patients and clients, maintaining high clinical standards and contributing to team care.
Qualifications
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current registration.
* Experience in equine nursing preferred; candidates from a small animal background are welcome to apply with a willingness to transition, training provided.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working hours
7 nights on, 7 nights off averaging 39 hours per week. Shifts: Sunday – Thursday 20:00–06:30; Friday – Saturday 20:00–08:00.
