Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, stocking, and shipping. This position requires a proactive individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with heavy lifting and operating warehouse equipment.
Duties
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
* Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse.
* Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory levels, stock locations, and order fulfilment.
* Perform picking and packing of orders accurately, preparing items for shipment.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
* Maintain an organised and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency.
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels.
* Handle materials with care, ensuring compliance with safety regulations during all operations.
* Provide support in construction-related tasks when required, leveraging mechanical knowledge.
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
* Ability to operate forklifts; certification is a plus.
* Experience in stocking, picking & packing, shipping & receiving is highly desirable.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is beneficial.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
