The Job
We are looking for an experienced and highly competent Payroll Supervisor to be predominantly based at our Support Centre Headquarters in Macclesfield with hybrid working as an option.
Working as part of the Group Finance Team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management and delivery of payrolls for 7 of our Brands, with a headcount of over 400 directly employed staff.In addition, you will be responsible for administering a wide range of company benefits as well as pension oversight.You will ensure that everyone is paid correctly, and on time, whilst overseeing updates to systems, statutory changes and payroll processes.
You will also have a ‘dotted line’ to the Group Head of HR and HR Team, ensuring that the interface between the two functions operates smoothly and efficiently.
Your skills
* Payroll supervision experience;
* Experience of supervising a small team;
* Current and up to date knowledge of payroll procedures, including statutory requirements - with ability to provide detailed payroll calculations;
* Advanced MS Excel skills;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Time management and organisation skills;
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet payroll deadlines when needed;
* A broad understanding of HR issues, challenges and opportunities within a similar business;
* Some travel may be required to other Group sites in the UK.
