We have an opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our established community therapy team covering the Macclesfield Community.
The role involves providing comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment of adults within our rehabilitation beds and in the community setting.
You will be part of a wider, supportive integrated team comprising GPs, district nurses, ACPs, social workers, physiotherapists, and therapy assistants. All team members are committed to helping each other daily. This role offers valuable insights to develop your career and connect your current role to the community.
Internal secondments are considered.
As a clinical specialist, you will deliver a high standard of Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to patients with diverse health needs across the Macclesfield Community area.
This care will be delivered in patients' homes and community bed-based settings. The successful candidate will work autonomously, using analytical skills and clinical reasoning to interpret assessment findings, make diagnoses where appropriate, identify patient problems, set goals, and develop treatment plans and progressions.
You will demonstrate effective communication skills through liaison and referral to other agencies, embracing the care community team philosophy.
At East Cheshire NHS Trust, we value our community and embed our core values into everything we do, making us a supportive and inclusive workplace. You will be supported, developed, and empowered throughout your career with us. Join us to help deliver outstanding care and improve the health of the people we serve.
COVID-19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, colleagues, and patients. While vaccination is not a condition of employment, we encourage staff to get vaccinated. We will check vaccination status of all new starters as part of ongoing monitoring.
