St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School is a larger than average primary school in the heart of Leam Lane Estate, Gateshead.
The Governors wish to appoint a committed, motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our highly effective team. This position involves supporting children throughout the entire school, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful applicant will provide assistance within the classroom environment, as well as work with small groups and individual pupils.
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant
* Experience of working across the Key Stages
* Experience of whole class supervision
* Experience of planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
* A good understanding of children’s learning
* Sound practical, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Experience of supporting children with SEND
* Flexibility and approachability
