We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. This is a hybrid role combinng supervisory responsibility, operational warehouse duties, forklift operation, and office-based administration. The successful candidate will be lead by example on the warehouse floor whilst ensuring stock accuracy, operational efficiency and adherence to health & safety standards.
Warehouse Operations
1. Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and returns
2. Ensure all stock is handled, stored and recorded accurately
3. Carry out order picking, packing, wrapping, labelling, shipping and receiving
4. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
5. Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies
6. Conduct quality control checks on all outbound orders
7. Report any incidents involving stock, equipment, property or personnel
Forklift Duties
8. Operate forklift equipment to load, unload and move gods
9. Ensure safe handling and correct weight distribution when loading HGVs
10. Carry out daily equipment checks and report faults promptly
11. Handle pallets and materials safely in line with procedures
Administration & Stock Control
12. Process delivery notes, booking-in sheets, stock transfers and picking lists
13. Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems or Excel
14. Manage warehouse booking spreadsheets for inbound and outbound planning
15. Track deliveries, investigate missing items and report discrepancies
16. Produce regular reports on stock checks, delivery performance, and operational issues
17. Liaise with transport providers, suppliers and internal teams
Supervision & Leadership
18. Supervise and support warehouse staff on a daily basis
19. Allocate tasks and monitor performance
20. Assist with training and onboarding of new employees
21. Ensure all staff follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines
22. Lead by example to maintain high operational standards
The successful candidate will have:
23. Previous warehouse experience (supervisory experience preferred)
24. Valid FLT licence
25. Strong IT skills, including Excel and warehouse systems
26. Good communication and leadership skills
27. Ability to work effectively both on the warehouse floor and in an office environment
28. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
