As an AI/ML Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within central Applied Artificial Intelligence team you will be supporting the Corporate Functions (including Risk, Finance,pliance & Legal) by designing, building and supporting AI-powered software products leveraging news,pany filings and other media to provide insights across a diverse range of use cases.
We're looking for someone who cares about producing high-quality, maintainable software; is keen to develop skills across a broad and evolving technology stack (centred on Python, ReactJS, traditional & generative AI and AWS infrastructure); possesses strong analytical skills and an interest in AI engineering. You will have solid Python coding and cloud engineering skills, recent experience in enterprise-grade SDLC tooling and a passion for robust, resilient user-facing software systems.
Job responsibilities
1. Contributes to AI product delivery, including requirement elicitation, planning, design, development, monitoring and technical troubleshooting
2. Writes high-quality, secure library and application code in Python & delivers containerized deployed solutions on public cloud infrastructure
3. Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems as well as technical and financial implications
4. Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
5. Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of moderateplexity
6. Collaborates with business and technology colleagues to systematically solve business problems and address pain points
7. Contributes to AI and applicationernance processes
8. Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
9. Embraces team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
10. Formal training or certification on STEM concepts and proficient applied experience
11. Degree level education in a STEM subject
12. Interest in and awareness of AI technology in industry
13. Industrial experience of Python programming
14. Practical experience of deployed and maintaining containerized software applications
15. Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CICD) tooling familiarity
16. Demonstrable analytical thinking
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
17. Practical experience developing or working with natural language processing models
18. Exposure to Amazon Web Services infrastructure and infrastructure as code technology ( Terraform)
19. Experience leveraging Azure & OpenAI large language models (LLMs)
20. Front-end development experience (ideally ReactJS)
21. 2+ years industry experience
